Yes, it's a wasted time! When I was 11 years old, in 1991, I announced something really bad to some children of my family about their father (my mom's brother, they both grew up in the same house, from the same parents, in the same hell). All the family was talking about what happened to their father. They hated me till the bone, and the reason was that they understood that what goes around comes around! Until this day they carry the blood of that father, they act in the same narcissistic way he used to. They fight for my downfall. Now I know who we all are. Few years ago, I didn't. When you try to see remorse in dark people, you waste your time, it's true!

The roles can change in a Narcisit type person is. It always this was or that way They do do a lot of manipulation and gaslighting when their interest has shifted after you find out what they are doing and their dark ways to get what they want even cheering etc. They don’t stay put type man. My ex wife of 1.5 years, fits every single one of these traits. She cheated….then divorced me. I didn’t find out about him for 6 months, 3 of those I had to live with her, my two kids, and her mom because I couldn’t afford to move out. When I did find out she made up so many lies about him…..I mean crazy crazy lies that no one would ever believe. Ive fought with myself and blamed myself for 1.5 years now. I’ve almost went back to her numerous times, but I back out with a gut feeling every time. I’m scared to be right and scared to be wrong. I’ve sworn off all women. I’m 46 and I’m done. "More needy than when they were younger." I can't even imagine a narcissist become MORE needy! I Left mine 8 years ago and she hasn't grown a bit as a person since then. Still stuck in the past and still suffering from the narcissistic injury I gave her. They never move on emotionally if YOU leave them.

You missed my favourite: The Catch 22. My (recent) ex would set up a situation where I had 2 options. If I did Option 1 there would be hell to pay but Option 2 had a different but equally bad outcome. There was no good option. Example from memory being Valentine's Day gifts. She told me not to buy her anything because we needed the money. I listened and didn't buy her much. 3 days of arguments later I gave in and admitted I was wrong. Next time, she got me nothing but I got her a nice gift, which she left untouched ever since in a obvious display of contempt. It was lovely. Then she bought me a piece of paper that cost her less than a Dollar to show how worthless I was. Then a paper calendar for the following Christmas. In this time, I've been upgrading all my presents to her so I'm taking her on holidays and buying her nice things and taking her out. I didn't realise it at the time but she was training me to think of myself as worthless and to think fighting back with boundaries or leaving was pointless.

My husband watched my 9 year old son Oliver take his last breath in my arms after fighting cancer a month later whilst trying to break up a fight between him and his sister he punched me around the face, last year after going to a san smith concert ( Oliver loved Sam) with my then 16 and 14 year old he knocked me in my stomach where I had to shout and remind him I was pregnant and that’s how my other children found out, I have lived through so many years of abuse mental and emotion physical abuse my children been treated the worse and that’s after losing my son, he still to this day tells me the mother of Oliver it was hard for him when Oliver passed. How bad is the CN Mom who sleeps with her sons friends and then has as relationship with one of them till they get caught, then tells her son that she is sorry and only pretends its over with the friend. Along with that she's married, her son and the TWO friends are 17 in high school where one tells the whole school and the other keeps quiet and stays in a relationship with the mom who is 37. Today she is 53 and thou not in a normal relationship still behind everyone's back and diabolically secretive she and the son's freind, 33 now, still see each other making careful plans to have weekends together. The kids moved to Florida and PA and those trips are the cover for both to have a near-by hotel be the time they have. When back on LI its done not all the time since he's got a girlfriend and yes I was her boyfriend. The whole story is just incredible and how I found out all this landed me in jail for a night, but it was worth it to know the truth than to go on another day with the abuse from her. Never trust them
